The Food and Drug Administration Office of Cosmetics and Colors stated in 1995 that “a cosmetic manufacturer may use almost any raw material as a cosmetic ingredient and market the product without an approval from FDA.”   Accorging to the FDA, 10,500 different ingredients are used in personal care products.

Of those 10,500, 89% have never been evaluated for safety.  That leaves over 9,000 untested ingredients that are used in everyday personal care products!  To keep your skin healthy, use the most natural makeup and skin care products available.  Read ingredient labels and make sure the product ingredients are natural and beneficial.
